Interactive Vaulting is an activity in which students perform gymnastic type movements on and around the horse.
Vaulters may start with very simple movements such sitting without holding on and can progress to more elaborate compulsory moves and routines. This is a group activity for individuals who are ambulatory and cognitively capable of following directions.
Students who may benefit from vaulting include those with learning disabilities, ADHD, or social weaknesses. This activity increases awareness, confidence and encourages social interaction as well as teamwork.
